Record setter, Ifeanyi Ifeanyi doesn’t regret leaving MFM FC ahead of Wednesday clash

‎Akwa United midfielder, Ifeanyi Ifeanyi ‎has stated that he is enjoying life more in his new team, as he prepare to face his immediate former team, MFM FC on Wednesday.
The Imo-State born, has played every 90minutes for Akwa United this season, and will be the only Akwa United player to play all available minutes in the 2017 NPFL  First round for the Promise keepers, as Godspower Igudia left for Beach Soccer World Cup in Bahamas.
The Former Flying Eagles player had a chat with Sportlens360.com, as he thanked Coach Maikaba, shared how amazing his career has been, life at Akwa United and expectations for the clash on Wednesday.
“I give God the glory for giving me the strength to play in all the matches and I thank Coach Maikaba. In all the teams i’ve played, including the U-20 National Team under Coach Manu Garba and Nduka Ugbade, I played all 90minutes of every match (African Youth Championship in Senegal and World Cup in New Zealand).”
“Even through my Academy, there is hardly a match I don’t play. My time at MFM FC, I only missed two games last season – against FC IfeanyiUbah in the first round through ankle injury and the other was against Kano Pillars through Suspension of 5yellow cards.”
The midfielder who was also part of the NPFL all star team that toured Spain last season, said his life at Akwa United is better.
“I’m now playing at Akwa United and I don’t regret leaving MFM FC for the Promise keepers at the start of the season, despite MFM FC’s impressive performance this season. I feel at home here, the coaches and fans believe in me, however I earn more here than when I was at MFM FC.”
“We are placed 5th on the log, and our aspiration is leaned towards being NPFL Champions this season. The league leaders, MFM FC are 7points ahead of us, a win on Wednesday reduces the margin and we are almost getting there.”
“Come rain, Come shine, on Wednesday, I don’t know how difficult or easy it will be, but by the grace of Almighty God, Akwa United will out victorious.”
The match will be a double header, as Akwa United will be playing MFM in the first match of the second round in Lagos.
