Lagos based NLO side, 36Lion have tendered an apology to their fans after the team lost their season opener 2-1 away from home.

The gaffer of the side, Coach Akinrele Francis has apologized to esteemed fans following their away loss to Juvenile Fc 2-1 at Gateway International Stadium, Ilaro.

“Our fans remain the best anytime, any day.  I love them, they’re very passionate with the team and we can feel both at training and during matches,” Akinrele disclosed to 36Lion Media team.

“We are deeply sorry. Sometimes in football the unexpected happens but that’s not the end. It’s a league with so many matches yet to be played, so we’re winning more of away and home games this season.

“36 Lion is an ambitious side, we are not giving up from winning our group this season. We shall make our fans smile,as they have shown the world that they are proud of us,” he concluded.

Akinrele admitted Juvenile Fc were the better side in the encounter, but I extol praise to my boys for showing their display on the pitch.

“Juvenile were king today and they deserve it. We’ll go back and work again”. Akinrele submitted.

The Lagos based team 36 Lion will play MFM Feeders next on Thursday, May 18th at Onikan Stadium. MFM Feeders also lost their first league match 3-1 to Spartans FC.
