ABS FC fullback, Anaekwe Chukwubuka has expressed his joy and suprise after scoring a wonderful solo-effort winner against El-Kanemi Warriors in the 2-1 win in Ilorin.
Youngster, Kehinde Ayinde put the Saraki Boys ahead in the 14th minute with a close header in the box, before former Sunshine Stars forward, Dele Olorundare leveled things in the 39th minute with a header after some slow reaction from ABS FC’s Chinedu Ajanah and Ernest Governor.
The game ended 1-1 at halftime, and it was all going to take Anaekwe Chukwuebuka solo run to get the win for ABS FC in the 59th minute.
The versatile and skillfull fullback took the ball from his half, despite obstruction from the centre referee, then ran through the El-Kanemi players with no stopping, only to tip the ball over Desert Warriors Goalkeeper, George Michael.
In an interview with Sportlens360, Anaekwe expressed his joy scoring the winner and getting his form back.
“I felt myself for the first time. That is my game ever since, I dont know how it came back to me. Now that it’s back, I’m willing to continue the move.”
ABS FC will travel to Uyo, in their next match to face Akwa United on Matchday 21.
