Akwa United midfielder, Aremu Afeez has maintained that he is not ready to change his playing pattern after being shown a red card on Matchday 20 against MFM FC.
The former Sunshine Stars box to box midfielder, was cautioned twice before being shown a red card, in the stalemate draw against MFM FC at Agege Stadium.
Aremu have been influential to Akwa United, since joining from Rivers United at the start of the season, especially when paired with Ifeanyi Ifeanyi, and Ibrahim Alhassan – A combination that occured in 80% of Akwa United’s matches this season.
In an interview with Sportlens360, Aremu said, he won’t change his style.
“I can’t change my playing pattern, and i don’t think i’ve lost my place in the team just because of the red card.”
Aremu missed the match where, Akwa United displaced ABS 3-0 at Godswill Akpabio Stadium through suspension and will be hoping to be back to action against Wikki Tourists on June 14th.
