Anthony Okpotu has dedicated his second hatrick of the season to his 2-year old girl and his former Coach, Late Stephen Keshi who passed on last year.
The Lobi Stars forward completed a 31 minutes hatrick to give Lobi Stars a comfortable 3-1 win over MFM FC of Lagos.
Okpotu, who scored 12 goals last season for Lobi Stars, has netted 10 times for the Makurdi based club this season, incuding two hatricks, helping the team to maintaining 5th spot on the log after Matchday 23.
In an interview with Sportlens360, Okpotu shared how he felt about his hatrick and why he has to dedicate his hatrick for his girl and Late Keshi.
“It’s a normal thing for me to be scoring goals.
I dedicate the goals to my daughter as she clocked 2yrs on June 2nd and to the Late coach(Stephen Keshi) who gave me my first senior national team call up(super eagles) as he also clocks a year since he left this earth.”
Lobi Stars will play ABS FC of Ilorin, who are unbeaten at home in their next fixture.
