Sunshine Stars happy about LMC verdict

July 13th, 2017 Dammy Dudu NPFL Updates 0 comments

The Management of Sunshine Stars FC have shown acceptance towards the decision of the League Management Company (LMC) to temporarily lift the behind closed doors ban placed on the team’s home matches in the 2016/17 Nigeria Professional Football League season.

The Chairman Interim Management Committee of the Ondo State Football Agency (ODSFA), the parental body of Sunshine Stars FC, Hon. Gbenga Elegbeye expressed happiness with the LMC decision, and lauded the the Shehu Dikko led League Governing body for running the NPFL effectively.

While speaking with Sunshine Stars FC Media, the former Director General of the National Sports Commission Stated:

“It’s a welcome development to allow the fans in for our home games. The club is happy about it.”

“The LMC is living up to expectations. They have been running the league very well. I like the leadership provided by Shehu Dikko, and his team is doing a great job.”

The restriction is rested for the next two home matches; this weekend 29 game against Nasarawa United FC and week 31 tie against El Kanemi Warriors FC next weekend, all still to be played at the Dipo Dina Stadium, Ijebu Ode, upon which a full decision will be made on the ban.

Though the ban is lifted temporarily and the team remained banished away from Akure, Hon. Elegbeleye maintained that as a law abiding side Sunshine Stars FC will always be willing to comply with the directives of LMC and satisfy the Company’s conditions and requirements.
