Shooting Stars goalscorer, in the 1-0 win over Katsina United on Sunday, Wasiu Jimoh says he chooses team glory over personal glory.
The Kwara born forward, got the winner for the Oluyole Warriors in 44th minute, with a stunning freekick, which Katsina United goalkeeper, Paul Dami could not get hold of.
Wasiu, who rejoined Shooting Stars in the mid-season transfer window after leaving for FC IfeanyiUbah last season, made sure Shooting Stars move out of relegation zone after Matchday 29 games.
In an interview with Sportlens360, Wasiu says he wants the team’s glory ahead of personal glory, despite scoring the winner in a must win game.
“I’m a team player not an individual player, my team performance is more important to me than my own performance, it’s a collective thing. A team above all, above all a team. ”
