Elu Wilson: We want to win the Aiteo Cup once more

September 23rd, 2017 Dammy Dudu NPFL Updates 0 comments

FC IfeanyiUbah Captain, Elu Wilson says pride is at stake as his team are ready to defend the AITEO Cup in style prior to the second leg fixture against ABS FC in Ilorin on Saturday.

The Anambra warriors go into the second leg with a 3-0 advantage, thanks to Godwin Obaje’s brace at Nnewi on Wednesday.

The Federations Cup as it was formerly called now (AITEO Cup), was won by FC IfeanyiUbah last season, through penalty shootout against Nasarawa United in Lagos.

However Captain of the side Elu Wilson spoke to Sportlens360, talking about their expectations for the Second Leg Quarterfinal game against ABS FC in Ilorin.

“We want to finish the game well, by making sure we qualify, we will make sure we don’t concede more and also score more.”

The defender continued,”We don’t have any pressure on us as defending champions, it’s just that the players want the title once more, given we have more new players in our team. The changes we had in the team have made us stronger, especially having the top scorer of the previous season (Godwin Obaje) on our side, and with this, we stand a better chance to win the AITEO Cup this year.
