Lobi Stars midfielder, Dare Ojo says the 2-1 win over Mountain Of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) FC in a Rescheduled game on Wednesday will be a catalyst to a good season for the NPFL defending Champions this season.
The Markudi based side cruised to a 2-1 win over table toppers, MFM FC On Wednesday with goals from Dare Ojo and former MFM FC Player, Bashiru Monsuru to keep their NPFL title defense alive.
Speaking to Sportlens360, Lobi Stars midfielder, Dare Ojo said coming back from the CAF Champions League defeat to beat MFM Fc was a good thing.
“I believe that we are not out of the CAF Champions League yet, we still have our last game against Asec Mimosa in Enugu. The win against MFM wasn’t easy but we came out victorious. I believe the win will spur us to a good season”. He said.
The former Enyimba FC Player also revealed how worried he was for not scoring a goal, before getting the opener against MFM FC On Wednesday.
“I feel excited about getting my first goal of the season yesterday. I was worried for not scoring since the start of the season but I gave God all the glory and I am getting used to the atmosphere here in makurdi and Lobi Stars. Hopefully, we can defend the NPFL title at the end of the season, because that’s my target”. He concluded.
