Mountain Of Fire Miracles Ministries (MFM) FC Striker, Adeniji Kabir has expressed his joy after ending his scoring drought in MFM FC’s 2-1 win over Katsina United on Monday.
The NPFL Matchday 21 fixture which went down at the Agege Stadium was a enthralling encounter as the Olukoya boys kept their Super Six qualification alive with a win over the Chanji Boys.
The young goal poacher had failed to find the back of the net since Matchday 10 of the current season, where he scored the opener in the 2-0 win over Sunshine Stars. However, he looked bright against Katsina United and capped off a dominant start by the Olukoya boys by firing home the opener in the 11th minute.
Speaking exclusively to Sportlens360 after the home win on Monday, kabir said the goal drought was heavy on him.
“It wasn’t easy not scoring goals, because as a striker, you always want to score goals. It had started to play on my mind and was very heavy on me but the goal I scored today is a relief and I’m very happy about it”. He said.
Adeniji Kabir increased his season tally to five goals and will be looking forward to finishing his first Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season on a high as they face Sunshine Stars in their final game on Sunday.
