Chelsea Defender, Fikayo Tomori put up an impressive display as the blues fell at home to Valencia in their 2019/2020 Champions League opener on Tuesday night.
The 21-year old who scored his first Premier League goal for Chelsea in the 5-2 win over Wolverhampton at the weekend made his Champions League debut on Tuesday in the 1-0 loss to Spanish Side, Valencia.
In the 28th minute of the game, Valencia striker, Gamiero was racing in on goal but it took a superb defending from Tomori to stop the threat.
Tomori also had a chance at goal in the 37th minute, when he weaved his way through the Valencia defence before getting a left-footed effort on goal from a tight angle, but his shot went wide.
Chelsea conceded in the 75th minute of the game after Rodrigo met a ball from a free kick, and slotted it past Chelsea Goalkeeper, Kepa.
Ross Barkley had the chance to restore parity in the 87th minute, after Chelsea were awarded a penalty but he missed the penalty to condemn Chelsea to a home loss in their Champions League opener.
Chelsea will host Liverpool, who also lost their Champions League opener against Napoli, in a PL fixture at the Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
