Nigeria Attacking midfielder Michael Ibe has linked up with Nigeria Professional Football League side Plateau United on loan for the 2019/2020 season.
Ibe, who played for Jordanian side AL-KARMAL last season says it was an easy decision to make, as his coach Abdul Maikaba is a man he played under while with Akwa United.
In an chat with our correspondent, the scoring Midfielder says he is so happy to reunite with his Maikaba as he has a close relationship with him and hopes his philosophy bring trophies to Plateau United.
“I feel so great to reunite with Maikaba because we have a close relationship and he understands me very well, with his achievements in Akwa United, I know with time he will do same with Plateau United.”
Ibe who scored 14 goals and made 12 assist for AL-KARMAL last season has since settled down with the former NPFL Champion as he has so far scored seven goals in Eight test matches for the Jos-based club in which he score a hat trick in his first friendly match.
Speaking on what he wants to bring to Plateau United, the former Aiteo Cup winner says he wants to bring creativity to the midfield of the team as the fans have so far appreciated his effort from the two matches he played.
“Already with the two pre-season games I have played so far, the fans of the club and my teammates are happy saying this is what they have been missing, and that I will really help the team, so I will keep working hard so we achieve it together”.
Plateau United are currently in Kano for the Alhan Cup as the mercurial midfielder will hope to bring his wealth of experience in Jordan that saw him bag player of the season with Al-Karmal to Plateau United.
