Odion Ighalo netted the winning goal for Shanghai Shenhua as they claimed a 2-1 win over Dalian Yifang in the Chinese Super League on Sunday.
The 30-year old scored his first goal since returning from the injury he picked up at the 2019 African Cup Of Nations, where he won the topscorer award for the tournament.
Dalian Yifang went ahead in the first minute through Yannick Carrasco before Shanghai Shenhua’s Giovanni Moreno restored parity for the hosts in the 25th minute.
Odion Ighalo, who retired from the Super after the 2019 AFCON, scored the winner in the 38th minute after finishing off a perfect cross from Cao Yunding.
With the two successive wins for Shanghai Shenhua, they have moved up to 11th on the Chinese Super League log.
