Nigeria Forward, David Okereke saved the blushes of Club Brugge by netting a second half strike to help them to a 1-1 draw against Standard Liege in the Belgian Pro League clash on Sunday.
The 22-year old netted his fifth league goal of the season in ten appearances the league leaders as they settled for a draw against Standard Liege.
The visitors went ahead inside five minutes as Samuel Bastien hit the target early in the game.
Club Brugge started strong in the second half and soon leveled from a David Okereke’s strike in the 47th minute.
Despite several chances created by Club Brugge, they failed to find the winner and had to settle for a draw.
Club Brugge are on top of the Belgian Pro League table, with a game in hand and three points ahead of second placed Standard Liege.
