Plateau United new signing, Michael Ibe says he hopes to win the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) title as he set for return to the league after one season out.
The former Akwa United midfielder, will hope to make a mark for his new side as they kickstart their campaign against Lobi Stars at the New Jos Stadium on Sunday.
Ibe, who played for Jordan side, Al-Karmal through last season, netting 14 goals and bagging 12 assists talked about his goals, as he reunites with former coach.
“I feel excited to be back to the NPFL. This is not the first time I’m playing under Maikaba as you know. I played under him at Akwa United and I had an impressive season there, being their top scorer in all competition.” He said.
“Plateau United have a good chance to win the league title with the quality players signed. Our target is to win the league, as we already have the right coach and players.
“I just want to do more for this team and see how it goes at the end of the season in our pursuit for the league title. He concluded.
