Rivers Angels have been crowned the 2019 Nigerian Women Football league Champions after defeating Confluence queens 1-0.
The Super Four tournament which began on Friday at the Agege Stadium saw both Finalist win their game. Rivers Angels beat Bayelsa Queens on penalties to book their place in the finals while Arit Usang’s brace ensured Confluence queens Victory over Adamawa Queens.
The final which was played at the same Venue as the Initial games saw an early goal from Cecelia Nku in the second minute of the encounter, the only goal in the game scored from the penalty spot.
Confluence queens pushed hard to get a goal all through the match but Rivers Angels proved solid and ran away with Victory.
Rivers Angels will be rewarded with three million naira and a week sponsored tour to Spain by Spanish league top-flight organisers, La-Liga.
