Red-hot Sunshine Stars midfielder, Anthony Omaka says he is more concerned about his team’s achievement than personal glory.
The former COD midfielder, was on the scoresheet for the Akure-based club on Sunday, as they beat FC IfeanyiUbah 2-0 in a Matchday 19 clash of the 2019/2020 NPFL season.
Jide Fatokun put Sunshine Stars ahead through a header in the 24th minute before Anthony Omaka doubled the lead with another header to make it 2-0 for the home side.
Sunshine Stars maintained their discipline to keep the score line at 2-0 till the end of game, as they got their 8th win of the season which puts them in 4th position.
Anthony Omaka who netted his 5th goal of the season on Sunday said, he is happy with his form but prefers team achievements to personal glory.
“It’s all team work and I’m happy with my form too. I just want this team to win the NPFL title and i believe we can do it. It’s not easy for a midfielder to score 5 goals in the NPFL but I don’t think about the goals, all I’m thinking about is how it will help my team”. He told Sportlens360.
