Anthony Nwakaeme scored for his team, Trabzonspor in the Turkish Super Lig on Wednesday as they defeated Yeni Malatyaspor 3-1 to become table toppers.
The first goal came as early as the 10th minute for Trabzonspor through Filip Novak before Jose Sosa doubled the visitors lead 20 minutes after the first goal.
Umut Bulut pulled one back for the home team a minute before the end of the first half in what was an entertaining encounter.
10 minutes into the second half, Nwakaeme scored the third and final goal for Trabzonspor and was in action for 90 minutes.
Nwakaeme has now scored 10 goals in 23 league appearances for the Turkish outfit in this campaign.
Former Super Eagles captain John Obi Mikel also saw four minutes of action as he came on in the 91st minute to replace Abdulkadir Omur.
Trabzonspor are currently top of the table with 52 points from 25 games, same as Istanbul Basaksehir who are second.
