The English FA have announced the schedule for the remaining matches of Emirates FA Cup after the competition was halted in its Quarter final stage due to the pandemic.
Manchester City the defending champions were drawn to play away against Newcastle United, Leicester City would welcome Chelsea, Norwich City are to host Manchester United and Sheffield United play Arsenal.
Mark Bullingham, CEO of the FA, made the announcement on Friday: “The competition has been an integral part of the English football calendar for nearly 150 years, and we’d like to thank the Premier League executive and clubs for their support in scheduling the remaining matches during this unprecedented time.
“This has been a difficult period for many people and, while this is a positive step, the restart date is dependent on all safety measures being met. The health and wellbeing of players, staff and supporters remains our priority.” He said.
The Quarter finals have been scheduled to hold on June 27th and June 28th, Semi finals on July 11th and July 12th and the Final to hold hopefully on August 1st.
