Jigawa Golden Stars midfielder, Abdullahi Saidu has expressed his excitement after netting his first goal of the season with the club in their 2-1 win over Heartland FC on Sunday.
Bright Onyedikachi put Heartland ahead with a ferocious shot in the 82nd minute before Saidu Abdullahi restored parity in the 84th minute. Samuel Stone scored the winner for the home side in the 90th minute.
“It was a very tough match and I’m really excited that my first goal of the season and for this club came at the right time we needed it”. the former Wikki Tourists midfielder told Sportlens360.
“We will continue to fight and make sure, things get better at this club”. Saidu said.
Jigawa Golden stars are currently 12th on the log, having gathered 10points from 7 games.
They will battle Kano Pillars in the midweek fixture on Wednesday at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna.
