Plateau United midfielder, Benjamin Turba says the League Leaders, are already feeling like NPFL Champions, after maintaining their top spot at the end of Matchday 20 matches.
The Jos based team snatched a vital away point against Katsina United on Sunday in a 1-1 draw, thanks to Daniel Itodo’s 59th minute equaliser.
Meanwhile, Plateau United remain top of the table, as MFM FC played out a stalemate 0-0 draw against Akwa United at home, which means, there is still a two points difference.
Benjamin Turba spoke with Sportlens360 about their impressive run and current position.
“I feel good, we are feeling like a champion already.
Talking about people’s expectation – we didn’t just found ourselves there, we worked really so hard to be where we are now, knowing the second round is the toughest part of the season and we are doubling our effort.
“Our target is to finish the league on top of the table as NPFL champions 2016/2017.”
Plateau United will be playing host next to Remo Stars, who lost to Enyimba 1-0 on matchday 20.
