Kano Pillars defender, Alimi Jamiu has dedicated his first goal of the season which came against Enugu Rangers on Sunday, to his new baby girl.
The Nigeria international scored the opener for Kano Pillars, in the 32nd minute with an assist from Jemil Mohammed, before Junior Lokosa added the second from an header just before halftime.
The win on Sunday puts them on 16-game unbeaten run at home, having lost just once in their last overall seven games.
Alimi Jamiu spoke to Sportlens360 on his first goal this season.
“I dedicate my first goal this season to my new baby girl. She was named a day before my goal.”
Alimi’s first goal of the season came after his call-up to the CHAN Super Eagles team by Coach Salisu Yusuf.
