Odey sets sight on Udoh’s NPFL 23-goal mark

July 19th, 2017 Dammy Dudu NPFL Updates 0 comments

Mountain Of Fire Ministries (MFM)  FC Striker, Stephen Odey has his sight set on surpassing Mfon Udoh’s 23-goals mark, which is the highest goals scored in a single season.

The teenager scored his 17th goal of the season on Sunday,  in a 1-0 win over Wikki Tourists at the Soccer Temple Agege, putting his team in a spot that taunts, leaders Plateau United chance of winning the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) title.

Odey,  who has led the goalscorers chart more than anyone this season,  feels he needs to work hard but still have his sight set on shattering Udoh’s record.

“I feel great scoring my 17th goal of the season, but I still have a target of surpassing Udoh’s record and I need to work hard more. He told Sportlens360.com.

He continued on how the team will cope with his CHAN inclusion.

” I don’t think my inclusion in the CHAN team will affect the team’s performance, because we have capable players at MFM FC, that can do the job. We are 20 teams contending for the league title and I think winning the league title will be the greatest thing that will ever happen to us.”

MFM FC will play, current NPFL Champions, Enugu Rangers on Wednesday at the Nnamdi Azikwe Stadium.
