Plateau United goalkeeper, Dele Ajiboye says he is ready to fight for a place in the final selection of the CHAN Eagles to face Benin Republic on August 11, 2017.

Ajiboye has played through the ranks of the National Team, starting from the Under 17, where he was part of the team that won the Under17 World Cup hosted by Korea Republic in 2007, before graduating to play for the Under 20 in 2009, also making the team to African Youth Championship in Rwanda and finally making the Dream Team Under 23 in 2012 under Coach Austin Equavoen, playing in both the All African Gamed and London 2012 Olympics.

The former Warri Wolves shot stopper was happy to be included in the CHAN team, and didn’t hide his readiness to make the Final team, provided he works harder.

Dele Ajiboye spoke with Sportlens360 after their first training session in Kano on Tuesday morning.

“I’m happy finally training with the senior national team after all those years. With God and hard work, I will be among the final squad, because I’m ready to prove my worth.”

The Eagles team B are scheduled to play Benin Republic In Cotonou, on August 11, in the CHAN Qualifiers and the second leg, a week after in Nigeria.
