EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW with Enyimba FC Captain Mfon Udoh as he discuss CHAN invitation, Enyimba’s chances at the title, game against MFM FC

Sportlens360 caught up with Enyimba FC Captain, Mfon Udoh as he discuss CHAN call-up, game against MFM FC and their chances of finishing as title winners at the end of the season.

Sportlens360: How do you feel getting call-up to the National Team once again.

Mfon Udoh: I feel happy, lucky and fortunate, because we have so many good players in Nigeria and being among the few that were choosen is a great honor.

Sportlens360: Is there so much difference between the clubside and the National Team?

Mfon Udoh: Yes of course, It’s the national team – Playing under different coaches, different ideology, different technique, and it’s an avenue to learn new things.

Sportlens360: How far do you think, Nigeria National Team can go in the CHAN tournament,  if we make it through the qualifiers.

Mfon Udoh: We have all the qualities it takes to bring back the CHAN title to Nigeria. With the quality of players I’ve seen in Camp,  we are not going to disappoint Nigerians.

Sportlens360: Talking about Sunday’s game against MFM FC, who are placed 2nd on the log. You think Enyimba can stop their home unbeaten run.

Mfon Udoh: I’m so much glad about the league right now, because after every gameday, results changes, position changes. I think tomorrow is going to be another game changer result.

Sportlens360:  Enyimba beat Remo Stars at home, but lost to Shooting Stars in Ibadan and Sunshine Stars in Akure, with such a result against Southwestern clubs, do you think a win is possible tomorrow?

Mfon Udoh: If you go by history, we have never lost in Agege and I know tomorrow isn’t going to be an exception.

Sportlens360: MFM FC against Enyimba FC last three meetings have ended in a draw, If history serves us right, A draw is inevitable tomorrow, do you have a contrary opinion?

Mfon Udoh: No,  I don’t think so. There is going to be a winner tomorrow and it’s going to be Enyimba.

Sportlens360: On the last note,  As Captain of Enyimba FC,  you have always maintained that the club will win the title this season. It’s six games left,  where do you think Enyimba will finish this season?

Mfon Udoh: Impossibility is nothing. I know it might sound crazy or funny but it’s still a race till we get to the finish line.
