Akwa United defender, Godspower Igudia has expressed the difficulty to move on, from his father’s death despite returning to action for Akwa United in the Matchday 34 of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) clash against Niger Tornadoes on Sunday.
The father of the Beach Soccer Player passed on in his hometown, Delta State of natural causes after a brief illness at age 70, three years after he lost his mother.
Igudia, who lost his father on the 21st of July, 2017 says he is still in shock, despite burying his Father and returning back to football with Akwa United over the weekend.
Speaking to Sportlens360, The Nigeria beach soccer player expressed the sad moment he is experiencing.
“I’m still trying to get over the shock of my late father. It’s really a setback For me but I got to try and move on but trust me its very difficult.”
Late Mr Igudia is survived by children, grandchildren and other relatives among whom is Akwa United’s and National Beach Soccer player Mr. Godspower Igudia.
