Mountain Of Fire Ministries (MFM) FC defender, Bashiru Monsuru has expressed his excitement in scoring the match winner against relegation bound Gombe United in a Matchday 35 clash on Sunday.
The big defender scored the solitary goal with a header from Onuwa’s corner kick in the 21st minute to help the Olukoya boys maintain a second spot position with three games left to the end of the season and continue their title battle with leaders Plateau United.
However, Bashiru believes the team can still push for the title, despite Plateau United being the favorite to clinch the prestigious Nigeria Professional Football League title.
In a chat with Sportlens360, Bashiru Monsuru expressed his excitement scoring the match winner and hope for title push.
“First of all, I give thanks to God for giving me the goal beacause, it’s not by my power. After the game I felt so excited to have scored the match winner. I believe we can still win the title”.
Mountain of Fire Ministries (MFM) FC will travel down to Umuahia, to face Abia Warriors on Matchday 36 with the expectation to keep their hopes up.
