August 28th, 2017 Dammy Dudu Tennis 0 comments

This will probably be a less dramatic tournament, as most the big players have had to withdraw mostly due to injury prior to this year US Open.

The male category will be without its defending champion, Stanislas Wawrinka who will undergo a knee surgery,  however the women’s defending champion, Angelique Kerber will have the chance to defend her title at the Flushing Meadows.

Other big players that will be missing out at the US Open are 12-time Grand Slam winner Novak Djokovic, British Number one Andy Murray, Kei Nishikori, Milos Raonic, Serena Williams (pregnant), Victoria Azarenka (family issues).

All road looks clear for new World number one, Rafael Nadal and 19- time Grand Slam winner, Roger Federer to dominate the 2017 US Open.
