Ancelotti relieved of his duty

September 28th, 2017 Oni Segun Football 0 comments

Manager Carlo Ancelotti has been sacked by Bayern Munich following a defeat to French side Paris Saint Germain.

A meeting was held today to discuss the future of the italian and it has been confirmed that Bayern Munich has parted ways with the Ancelotti.

After taking over from Pep Guardiola, Ancelotti led Bayern to their fifth consecutive Bundesliga title in his first season in charge but his side were eliminated at the quarter-final stage of the Champions League against his former club Real Madrid, while they were beaten 3-2 by Borussia Dortmund in the semi-finals of the DFB-Pokal Cup.

Bayern showed signs that they’ll struggle this season after a disappointing preseason. An unconvincing start to the new season saw them suffer defeat to Hoffenheim and a draw at home to Wolfsburg before a 3-0 football lesson by Paris Saint Germain.
