Chelsea Forward Alvaro Morata has been sidelined for six weeks after he sustained a hamstring in the 1-0 defeat against Manchester city on Saturday.
The Spanish football federation confirmed that Morata had a grade two hamstring tear which would practically rule him out of fixtures for the whole of October and few weeks in November.
Michy Batshuayi who happens to be the only recognized striker left for the Premier League Champions would be keen fill the void left by the Spaniard.
Morata looks set to miss clashes against Crystal Palace, Watford, Everton and Bournemouth and also the double header against Roma in the Champions league.
His absence would be greatly felt has he has been on top form netting seven goals in ten appearances since his debut for Chelsea.
