Jide Taiwo happy to make Beke debut in AS Cotonou defeat

Beke Bembereke FC new signing, Jide Taiwo has expressed his excitement after making his debut in the 3-0 loss to AS Cotonou on Sunday.

The 20-year old moved to the Benin Republic side last month and made his debut in their first league game of the 2022 season which ended in a loss.

In an interview with Sportlens360, the midfielder revealed how he felt after making his debut for Beke Bembereke at the weekend.

“I enjoyed my debut for Beke Bembereke, although it ended with a loss but it’s just the first game of the season.” Taiwo told Sportlens360.

“The team believes so much in my ability and that is the reason why I am here. Hopefully, I can help the team in a whole lot of ways this season.

“We have put the loss behind us and and now focused on the next game on Wednesday.”Taiwo added.

The former Gbagada FC midfielder will hope to grab his first win with the team, when they face JSP FC on Wednesday.
