Warri Wolves goalkeeper Michael Uweru ‘gutted’ about groin injury

Warri Wolves goalkeeper, Michael Uweru has admitted that he is ‘gutted’ about the groin injury he sustained in the 1-0 win against Kwara United on Sunday.

The former Shooting Stars goalkeeper suffered a groin injury in the first half of the game against Kwara United before being replaced by Pwadadi Bulus.


“It was disappointing to get injured at this stage of the league. I’m really gutted that I will miss the next game against Akwa United in Uyo. 

“I want to get back to action as soon as possible, hopefully it happens immediately after the Akwa United game but let’s see how it goes”. Uweru told Sportlens360”.

With 5 matchdays left to the conclusion of the 2021 NPFL season, Warri Wolves are currently placed 18th and need a huge turnaround to beat the drop.
