Sunshine Stars defender, Alimi Jamiu is set to make his injury comeback against Kano Pillars this weekend.
The Nigeria International has been sidelined with malaria sickness for few weeks, but could make a return against his former club, Kano Pillars when they face-off in Akure on Sunday.
“I’ve finally recovered from the illness and ready to help the team with our remaining matches”. Alimi told Sportlens360.
Alimi, 28, is on his second return to the club and is focused on helping the team avoid relegation.
“I believe that we can beat the drop, if we are at our best. We can do it”.
Sunshine Stars lost 1-0 to Kano Pillars in the reverse fixture which took place in Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna in February.
