Rivers United defender, Mutiu Ogundimu has revealed how tough it was to beat Young Africans in Tanzania on Sunday.
A second half goal by Moses Omodumoke was the difference as Rivers United beat Young Africans in the first leg of CAF Champions League first preliminary round game.
Speaking to Sportlens360 after the game, Mutiu Ogundimu who made his debut for the Port-Harcourt based side said it was a tough game.
“It was a tough game even before the ball was kicked off. They have a huge fan base and passionate supporters.
“We were focused and was not moved by the atmosphere. I think we got past them because of our team work and we will finish the job in Port Harcourt”. He Said.
Rivers United will host Young Africans next Sunday in the second leg of the preliminary round.
