Young Africans SC eye Rivers United’s Ali Auwalu after impressive performance

Tanzania side, Young African SC have identified Rivers United’s Ali Auwalu as a potential signing in the January transfer window.

Yanga are keen on signing the youngster after he put up an impressive performance against them in the CAF Champions League preliminary match on Sunday.

The winger was one of the top performers for Rivers United, as they beat Young Africans 1-0 in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

Ali Auwalu joined Rivers United this summer from Kano Pillars and had his debut for the Port-Harcourt based side in the game against Yanga.

He is currently on a two-year contract with Rivers United and it will take a whole lot for Yanga to snatch him up.

The second leg of the CAF Champions League preliminary round match between Rivers United and Young Africans will come up on Sunday, which gives another chance to step up their interest in Ali Auwalu.
