Abdulazeez Yusuf happy with goal-scoring form

A mixed feeling for Abdulazeez Yusuf after netting his 8th goal of the season

Gombe United’s Abdulazeez Yusuf continued with his goal scoring form on Sunday, as his side lost to Kano Pillars 3-1 at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium, Katsina.

The 20-year old striker scored his 8th goal of the season and the only goal for Gombe United in their seventh loss of the season. He netted the goal after getting on the end of Abba’s cross just at the start of second half.

In an interview with Sportlens360, Abdulazeez Yusuf revealed how the Matchday 19 match ended in a mixed feeling for him.

“It was a mixed feeling for me. We are not happy about the results, but we just have to accept the defeat and focus on the next game.

“I’m really happy with my scoring form but this is not why I’m here, I want to help this team with my goals. It’s my eighth goal of the season and I wish, it could have helped the team push up the table.” Abdulazeez told Sportlens360.

The former Zamfara United striker expects that the team will use the short break to refresh and finish well at the end of the season.

“We have two weeks break in the NPFL. We will use that to refresh and come back new in the second round. Hopefully, we can finish well at the end of the season.” Abdulazeez added.
