Tosmicom Sports Agency Release Dates, Timetable For Digital Scouting Africa

Fast-rising Sports Business and Management firm, Tosmicom Sports Agency Ltd and owners of the Digital Scouting Africa project have announced dates and time table for Digital Scouting Africa.

In a statement from its media department and made available to the press, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Tosmicom Sports Agency Ltd, Adebayo Oluwasegun said the first phase of the Digital Scouting Africa which is the Talent Identification exercise phase will now be held from 3rd of February, with Alimosho in Lagos and will climax in Ilorin on  28th of February.

‘The Digital Scouting Africa was first conceptualized in 2018 and was first experimented in the same year with players like Jordan Kadiri Attah, now with Lommel SK in the Belgian League and Miekam Women formerly with Hammarby and now with Linkoping City amongst others taking part in the experimental version of the Digital Scouting Africa which was at the time known as The Digital Scouting Tournament.

‘The Digital Scouting Africa is in line with the FIFA GLOBAL REPORT; Give Every Talent A Chance.

‘Our goal is to give more opportunities to talents who probably would not have had the chance to be scouted hence we are taking the Digital Scouting Africa to the local communities where these talents abound.

‘The Digital Scouting Africa is in Four(4) phases covering the Talent Identification exercise which is the first phase and through which we organize open trial exercises in various Centres across Nigeria.

‘We have shortlisted 4 centres in Lagos including Alimosho which is the largest and most populous Local Government Area (LGA) in Nigeria and possibly West Africa as well as Ajegunle, Ikorodu and Amuwo and its environs. Other cities and states where the trials will be held are Osun State, Ilorin, Jos, Kaduna and Delta for residents in (Delta, South Easter and the other South Eastern States).

‘The second phase is a Developmental Camp for selected players for 30 days and during that time the team will play high profile matches.

‘The third phase is the Digital Profiling of all players and Production of Scouting Videos which happens during the developmental camp phase and then the final phase is the Scouting Tournament where clubs who have monitored these players by watching the Scouting Videos and Digital Profiles of scouted players, travel down to Nigeria to physically assess the team in a scouting tournament where the scouted players are grouped into a team to play against other top academies and youth clubs in Nigeria.

‘With the Digital Scouting Africa, European league clubs who can’t afford the outrageous fees placed on European and South American players can find quality alternatives from Nigeria and by extension Africa, through the Digital Scouting Africa which offers them the platform to access these players and are furnished with sufficient Scouting information on the players through the Digital Scouting Africa which helps such clubs to make informed decisions on the players they are looking to sign’’ enthused Adebayo in the statement.

Interested teams and players can send messages to the various social media platforms of Digital Scouting Africa on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram and can contact the Project coordinator, Emmanuel Ifeanyichukwu Obi on this phone line-08158650727.
