Jamilu Collins can’t wait to get started for Cardiff

Skybet Championship side, Cardiff have confirmed the signing of Super Eagles defender, Jamilu Collins from German second division side, Paderborn SC on a two-year deal.

The 27-year old has ended his 5-year relationship with Paderborn and has opted to start a new challenge in England with Cardiff.

English side, Cardiff made the announcement of the new signing on their website on Friday and the player says he can’t wait to get started for his new club.

“I’m really excited to be in Cardiff, and I can’t wait to get started. The club has great history, and when I got the call to come to Cardiff, I was so excited, I couldn’t resist. I’m looking forward to the challenge of the new season.

“The goal is to fight for the Premier League. I can’t wait to meet the supporters and to fight for the jersey.” Collins said.

Collins has 25 caps for the Super Eagles. He spent 5 years at Croatian club, Rijeka before joining German club, Paderborn, a club he helped to achieve two promotions to reach the Bundesliga in 2019.

The left back becomes the fourth player to sign for the English side, following the acquisitions of Ebou Adams, Jak Alnwick and Ollie Tanner.
