Lukman Ahmed-Shaibu happy to be playing against Mt Druitt Town Rangers

Sutherland Sharks striker, Lukman Ahmed-Shaibu says he is expecting a tough challenge from his former team, Mt Druitt Town Rangers when they face off at the Popondetta Park on Friday.

The 29-year old striker, who left Mt Druitt Town Rangers for Sutherland Sharks FC in February is happy and ready to face his former team in the Matchday four encounter of the Australian National Premier Leagues NSW.

Speaking to Sportlens360 in an interview, Lukman says he is focused on helping Sutherland Sharks win against his former team.

“We will be facing my former team and I’m excited to be playing against them and back on the field to help my Sharks in any way possible.

“It’s going to be a tough game as we will be playing away from home against a sound defensive side. The goal is to pick up three points on the road and I feel like we’ve got the moment on our side from last weeks result and we are hoping to capitalize on that.” Lukman told Sportlens360.

Lukman Ahmed-Shaibu, who missed Sutherland’s first game of the season and played the other two games, said he is ready to open his goal account.

“The boys are ready to give their all to secure the three points and it will take the effort of everyone to do this. Hopefully I can open my goal account for the season by scoring against my former team.” Lukman added.
