Kwara United vs Shooting Stars: Dapo Abiodun Cup final preview, stats, kickoff time

Kwara United and Shooting Stars will meet for the second time in this tournament as they set sight on Dapo Abiodun preseason tournament trophy.

Dapo Abiodun preseason tournament was created in 2019 with Shooting Stars set to play in their third consecutive finals.

The 7-day tournament which was setup to help teams prepare for their regular season have provided the quality and excitement that teams, fans look out for.

Shooting Stars have won the previous two editions, beating Delta Force in 2019 and Lobi Stars in 2020 with the same 1-0 scoreline.

The Oluyole Warriors defeated Kwara United in their first game of this year’s tournament and played draws against Gateway United and Ijebu United before beating Remo Stars on penalty shootouts in the Semifinals.

Kwara United will play in the final of the tournament for the first time ever, since their participation in the first year.

The Harmony boys suffered a slim loss to Shooting Stars in their first game, before bouncing back to defeat Ijebu United 1-0 and Gateway United 3-1.

Pride is at stake for both teams and also the urge to dethrone Shooting Stars as Champions of Dapo Abiodun preseason tournament is on Kwara United.

Kwara United have scored five and conceded two goals in this tournament so far, while Shooting Stars have scored just two and conceded one so far in this tournament.

The game is scheduled to kickoff by 3pm on Tuesday.
