Abdullahi Musa urges Kano Pillars to grab chance of ‘top finish’

Abdullahi Musa believes Kano Pillars have to fight for Top three finish

Kano Pillars defender, Abdullahi Musa says the team’s chances of qualifying for CAF Champions League or Confederations Cup is ‘in their hands’ as they seek to end a disappointing season on a high by finishing in 2021 NPFL’s top three.

The 4-time league champions are battling Akwa United, Nasarawa United, Enyimba, Rivers United, Kwara United and Enugu Rangers for the top 3 slots in the NPFL for CAF club games.

Akwa United lead the table with 67 points, while Kano Pillars are level on points with Nasarawa United and Enyimba FC on 61 points.

“The loss to Sunshine Stars in the Aiteo Cup Quaterfinals was bad for us but we bounced back and picked the three points against Abia Warriors.

“We need that stability to push for a top three finish and that’s what we are focused on. It’s in our hands and we have to also fight for it”. Abdullahi Musa told Sportlens360.

Kano Pillars will face Kwara United at the Kwara State Sports Complex, Ilorin on Wednesday for their Matchday 36 cracker.
