Chukwukelu Ignatius eyes promotion with SK Detmarovice after leaving Ukraine

Chukwukelu Ignatius has revealed that his sight is set on helping his new side SK Detmarovice gain promotion in the Czech league.

The Nigerian midfielder left Ukrainian side, FC Nyva Vinnytsia following the Russian invasion of Ukraine, and also managed to find his way out of the country.

“Coming to this club, I saw that they were close to relegation, and my first instinct was to help them beat that drop”, Chukwukelu narrated.

The 24-year old also stressed that his aim to help the club escape the drop will help him overcome some bad experiences.

“When I got to the club, I got some comfort after the trauma I experienced while fleeing Ukraine. Now, I have some playing time and I hope to get my full football mentality back and help the club survive the relegation because that is the objective at the moment. I also hope to be well prepared before the summer transfer”. Chukwukelu said in an interview.

SK Detmarovice are currently 13th on the 14 team log of Group F in the Czech Fourth Division.
