Aguda reveals why he choose to stay back at Falkenbergs after relegation

Aguda wants to help Falkenbergs back to Superettan

Godwin Aguda has opened up on the reason why he stayed back at Falkenbergs after relegation, expressing that he stayed with the Swedish club to honor the fans and his commitment to the team.

Falkenbergs were relegated from Superettan to the South Division 1 league after finishing in 16th position in the 2021 season.

However, the 24-year old midfielder has opted to stay with the club and bring them back to Superettan.

“It was disappointing to get relegated in the 2021 season but I want to stay back and fight for this team. I made a commitment to this team and I am going to honor that.

“Well, I’m happy that, the club still believes in me, despite the fact that I was not getting enough playing time in the 2021 season, while the team got relegated.” Aguda told Sportlens360 in an interview.

The midfielder, who won the NPFL title with Enugu Rangers in 2016 also added that he is ready to score goals and make assists for the team to get back to Superettan.

“My expectation this season is to help the team come back to the Superettan, where we came from. The aim is to give my very best this season by scoring goals and making assists. I want to also work hard to have a better football career.” Aguda added.

Falkenbergs have lost two games and won one out of three matches played so far in the Swedish South Division 1 league.
